Dear Paul,
It has taken me a while to write this, as I still cannot really believe that you are no longer with us. You looked so well when we met at the end of January.
We first met back in 1985 when I was joining Hayden Labs and you were in the process of being promoted to Sales Manager and we worked together at both Hayden Labs and then at Sennheiser UK.
The one think that really impressed me was that you cared – you cared about the customers and you cared about the staff. You impressed on me how important customer service is and that is also my belief. You always cared for the staff; if anyone had a problem, they would always have your support in sorting it out – and that includes personal problems as well as business ones.
Your knowledge of the industry and the products we sold was excellent and working with Sennheiser was never “just a job” for you – you gave your all and inspired us all to do likewise.
Hayden and Sennheiser always had the best staff in the industry and you knitted us together as a great team that still keep in contact after we moved on to other things.
I know people often write “he will be sorely missed”, but in your case these words really have great truth. You were an inspiration to all of us that worked with you and the world really is a poorer place without you.
