Writing this is something that we never expected to be doing.
Paul was our friend whom we met in 1984 when we became neighbours; two young families with new babies. Over the years his career took him on to pastures new but we remained good friends. We saw each other’s children grow up and have families of their own.
Hearing of Paul’s unexpected illness and his passing away has been a shock and has deeply saddened us. We remember a hard working man who loved his family and was a kind and generous host to his friends. A man with many interests such as the nuances of the latest audio equipment, selecting the next music track to listen to, his cars and looking after the barbeque when the weather was good. Evenings would often end with an impromptu music quiz.
Thank you Paul. It has been a privilege knowing you and having your friendship over the years. We will not forget you. You were taken far too soon and we will miss you very much.
